Diwali is officially on Sunday, November 8th, 2026.

The five days of Diwali begin with Dhanteras (11/6), followed by Choti Diwali (11/7) on the second day. The third and main day is Lakshmi Puja (11/8), which leads into Govardhan Puja (11/9) on the fourth day. The festival concludes with the celebration of Bhai Dooj (11/10) on the final day.

Diwali season is the biggest part of our year. We spend months planning the perfect mithai collections, gift sets, and events for our community. Check out Tagmo's Diwali Collection for all of our newest goodies and treats!

The Diwali Mithai Collection features eight varieties:

Kaju Katli, Besan Ladoo, Orange & Coconut Ladoo, Kaju Burfi, Pistachio Burfi, Rose Badam Burfi, NEW Chai Boondi Burfi, and NEW Kesar Pista Burfi.

Orders ship on a weekly schedule. Choose a Friday at checkout to select your delivery week; your order will ship and deliver Monday–Friday of that week. Exact delivery dates are not guaranteed. You’ll receive email updates when your order is processed, shipped, and delivered. Orders placed after 12pm Wednesday will ship no earlier than the following week.

We craft our mithai year-round! During peak seasons like Diwali, winter holidays, and Holi, we release special products and gifts. To prepare, we may also close our usual mithai selection during the weeks leading up to these larger seasons.

Mithai is the Hindi word for sweets. It contains the broad regional diversity of South Asian confectionery. 

Our mithai is shipped in temperature-controlled packaging with ice packs and insulated bags as needed. Please refrigerate or freeze upon arrival. Most of our mithai can last in the freezer for up to 3 months, and in the fridge for up to 1 month.

TAGMO mithai is made with less sugar than regular mithai but tastes just as good. We guarantee you can’t tell the difference! 

Most of our mithai are gluten-free! We also offer nut-free and vegan options. However, all mithai are processed in the same facility and we cannot guarantee that mithai are 100% free from cross-contamination with peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and dairy products.

At TAGMO we express our PRIDE not with rainbow flags and shallow corporate messaging for exactly 30 days in June, but with real, tangible acts of solidarity that last all year, every year. Being a queer South Asian business means we make our mithai with meaning – whether that’s helping our fellow queer brown chefs, supporting global resistance to empire, or cultivating spaces of belonging.

TAGMO is the Bhutanese word for Tigress – symbolic of the TAGMO mission to inspire queer feminist strength and empowerment.

We understand that events can happen on short notice and we try our best to accommodate rush orders! However, we kindly request that all customers place orders a minimum of three days in advance to make sure TAGMO has enough time to meet your expectations.

We can fulfill catering requests within the NYC and surrounding areas like Jersey City and some parts of Long Island.

Yes! Tagmo provides different types of catering to suit your needs. Availability for our staffed catering options is limited based on a First-Come-First-Serve basis.
